Safeguarding
Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy
The school is required to take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of its pupils. In cases where the school has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill treatment, neglect, or other forms of abuse, the Headteacher will follow the Safeguarding Procedures established by the Derbyshire Area Protection Committee and inform Social Care of the concern.
The school’s Safeguarding Officer is Mrs Fern, Headteacher. If Mrs Fern is unavailable, please ask at the office for member of staff who can deal with your Safeguarding concerns. We have five designated leads who work closely with external agencies to support children and families.
Out of school hours, if you need any help, please send an email to info@belmont.derbyshire.sch.uk
The school follows the principles and arrangements as described in the documents below.
