Japan 

Year  5 have been investigating the country of Japan as it has important links with Swadlincote and South Derbyshire. They started their learning by watching a documentary from the BBC which Ocean said was ‘really informative and interesting, giving us lots of information about the use of robots in Japan, bombing during the war in Nagasaki and lots more.’ Many children have been inspired to do their own research to make informed conclusions and judgements, for example Edward from year 5 had learnt about the Japanese defence force as this is something that interests him.
